Swedish Massage:This is a massage based heavily with the technique of effleurage ..which is gliding strokes over the body and pettrissage..kneading and skin rolling to affect soft tissue. . It can vary from a lighter pressure or heavier pressure and either be relaxing OR invigorating dependant on the needs and desires of the individual client. Dependant on individual needs.. the treatment could have elements of the other therapies such as neuromuscular or deep tissue integrated lightly into the session I have always subscribed to the original teachings of Swedish massage and this modality can be light and relaxing..but also can be invigorating and very effective!...I'll tailor the session to your needs .
Repetitive Use Injury Therapy (RUIT)/ Muscle Release Technique :The Muscle Release TechniqueSM is a unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement, and breath to give the therapist a tool to provide, in many cases, relief from pain in one treatment. With the Muscle Release TechniqueSM scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain starts immediately.
With the Muscle Release TechniqueSM, the client is placed in particular positions so that the muscle begins to stretch in a very specific direction of plane. Then pressure is applied directly into the focal point of the affected tissue. The combination of a specific extension, precise pinpoint compression, and an exact plane of movement, while working with the breath, can produce an immediate release. The scar tissue is broken up and the muscle length is restored. With the Muscle Release TechniqueSM, instead of using strength, one uses body positioning and weight. The Muscle Release TechniqueSM is a tool to help therapists.
